A few weeks ago I wrote a post about how the Cloverfield monster was really Conan O’Brien. Well it turns out I was duped too. The high octane previews that have been showing are really just a cover for what the movie is really about.
Thats right. The actually movie is an independent documentary about the web of life in a field of clover. It received very high praise at many film festivals but the distribution company that bought the rights didn’t think that a film about clover would get people into the theaters. Instead they decided to market the movie as a blockbuster monster movie. Its obviously worked since the buzz around this movie is huge but they better hope they make all their money back on opening day because there is going to be a riot when people discover the truth.
